DisplayNet Controller

DisplayNet Controller is a simplified web-based control interface designed for day-to-day operation of DisplayNet systems. It provides end users with an intuitive, streamlined interface for common routing tasks and preset management without the complexity of the full DisplayNet Manager interface.

Overview

DisplayNet Controller serves as a companion interface to DisplayNet Manager, offering a focused set of features optimized for end users. While DisplayNet Manager provides comprehensive system configuration and management capabilities for administrators and technicians, DisplayNet Controller delivers a clean, efficient interface for routine system operation.

Example Preview

This is one example of how DisplayNet Controller interface might be configured with Routing Grid View layout and custom active color (green). The image shows an active route where the "LowerRight" receiver is connected to the "Dante_appleTv2" transmitter, with Apple TV content displayed in the thumbnail previews on both the transmitter and receiver devices.

  • Simplified Interface - Streamlined controls focused on essential routing and preset operations
  • User-Specific Configuration - Each user's settings and preferences are stored independently
  • Role-Based Access - Available to all users with system access, with configuration managed by administrators
  • Responsive Design - Optimized for desktop, tablet, and large-format touch displays

  • Unconfigured Users - Have full access to the DisplayNet Controller with full routing and preset functionality with default settings of Routing Column View and Preset Sidebar layout options in the light theme.

Interface Components

DisplayNet Controller consists of several key interface areas designed for efficient system control:

Preset Management Area

Quick access to system presets for rapid configuration changes. Layout options are covered in Interface Customization.

Routing Control Area

The main workspace for managing signal routing between devices. Layout options are covered in Interface Customization.

Feature Comparison

DisplayNet Controller provides a focused subset of DisplayNet Manager capabilities tailored for end users. While both interfaces offer complete routing control and preset execution, DisplayNet Controller is designed for day-to-day operation rather than system administration. DisplayNet Manager retains exclusive access to system configuration, user management, EDID management, firmware updates, and the API console, making it the primary tool for administrators and technicians who need comprehensive system control.
